I attended the final show of once, in Dublin last night, in the Olympia Theatre.
The theatre was full to the roof, as people awaiting the show the were invited up onto the stage, before the show to have a drink and to mingle, then just before the show some of the cast came out and started to sing on stage with the people, I suppose from a mindset point of view that by inviting the people on stage before the show, that it would give the people a sense of being in the actual scene as they looked on from their seats,
At one point during the show, the complete theatre was completely silent as the man and leading lady roped people into a certain scene of romance, the remarkable thing I noticed was that the people place themselves in the present moment for over two hours without having their eyes on a cell phone.
The show placed, you in a time and place in Dublin, time and the place was all too familiar, the audience is drawn to realise that they are in place and time a familiar place and time that's down to the brilliant the cast of The Musical.
I am not going to name one individual cast member because all of the cast members were just as equal in the 110% that they gave for us the audience to enjoy the musical.
The remarkable talent showed from each individual cast member,unbelievable, the acting, singing The Dancing, 110% each cast member. It's been a long time since I've been in the Olympia Theatre, so totally enjoyed the final curtain show in Dublin and well done and congratulations to each and every member of the cast and the crew who went Far And Beyond to make the musical a enjoyable experience.
