THE FRENCH COUNCIL OF THE MUSLIM FAITH IS THE AUTHORITY FOR OBSERVING RAMADAN DATES------
The French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) announced on Sunday June 5 that Ramadan will start tomorrow, Monday, June 6, 2016. This decision was made after observation of the moon. This being visible on Sunday, the start of Ramadan will take place Monday. Eid el-Fitr, the festival of breaking the fast after Ramadan, will be held around July 5, every month for 29 or 30 days in the Muslim calendar.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
