US President Obama finished historic Vietnam trip, goes to G7 summit

On Wednesday morning May 25, US President Obama talks with 800 members of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) in Vietnam at the GEM Center in HCM City.
Launched in 2013, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is U.S. President Barack Obama´s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia.
Through a variety of programs and engagements, including U.S. educational and cultural exchanges, regional exchanges, and seed funding, YSEALI seeks to build the leadership capabilities of youth in the region, strengthen ties between the United States and Southeast Asia, and nurture an ASEAN community.

United States President Barack Obama left Ho Chi Minh city on the afternoon. Thousands of local residents stood along the streets to bid farewell to U.S. President Barack Obama as the presidential car The Beast brought him to Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
The locals waited on several streets which they knew Obama´s motorcade would travel by, waving hands and Vietnamese and American flags to say goodbye to the U.S. leader.

Mr. President did not forget to smile and wave at Vietnamese citizens on the way to airport.
US President Obama´s trip to Vietnam was a success, with a joint statement released on Monday, in which Vietnam and the U.S. were committed to working together to advance the comprehensive partnership they established in 2013 in various fields.
Mr. President will go to Japan for the G7 Summit.
