The President of the Republic reiterated the position of France to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. The economic outlook between France and Georgia were also discussed while French exports have tripled in ten years.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They discussed international issues, particularly the situation in the South Caucasus region. They also discussed the development of relations between Georgia and the European Union within the framework of the Association Agreement signed in June 2014, which now facilitates the growth of trade between the East partner and the EU. ABOUT GEORGIA AND THE FRAMEWORK OF EUROPEAN UNION SIGNED IN JUNE 2014----------------------------- Nestled between the Greater Caucasus and Lesser Caucasus mountain ranges, it is bounded to the west by the Black Sea, to the north and northeast by Russia, to the south by Turkey and Armenia, and to the southeast by Azerbaijan. Giorgi Margvelashvili is the current President of Georgia after winning 62.12% of the vote in the 2013 election. Since 2013, Irakli Garibashvili has been the prime minister of Georgia.
