Ivory Coast has been hit by a deadly terrorist attack that targeted the resort town of Grand-Bassam. On behalf of France, the French President, Hollande, has condemned in the strongest terms this heinous and cowardly attack. Even provisional toll reported at least a dozen dead and several wounded

In this tragic context, we express our solidarity with Ivory Coast and we share the grief of all the families of the victims to whom we extend our condolences. A crisis unit was immediately opened at the Embassy of France in Abidjan and at the center of crisis and support the Quai d'Orsay. Safety instructions were disseminated to the entire French community. I will attend a ministerial meeting at the crisis center and support the Foreign Ministry at 20: center who can be contacted on 00 225 20 20 05 44.
