The Union Minister of State for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi reviewed the Prime Minister´s new 15-point programme for socio-economic-educational development and empowerment of minorities. In a meeting held on November 6, Mr. Naqvi stressed the need for effective implementation of the various welfare schemes for minorities at the ground level.
The Minister said that the Modi Government is serious about inclusive growth of poor people and the minorities. He said benefits of welfare schemes and light of development to the last needy person be ensured through effective implementation of schemes meant for them. The aim is to provide benefits of development to the needy without any hurdle, he added.
Mr. Naqvi also emphasized for better coordination among the states regarding welfare programmes for poor people and the minorities.
The meeting was fruitful as representatives of various ministries assured that the welfare schemes will be taken to the ground level with complete sincerity and commitment.

Representatives from 17 different Central Government Ministries attended the meeting. These Ministries and Departments are Women and Child Development, Niti Ayog, Higher Education, School Education and Literacy, Financial Services, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Rural Development, Personnel and Training, Home Affairs, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Urban Development, Panchayti Raj, Culture, Health and Family Welfare, Statistics and Programme Implementation, Health and Family Welfare, Information and Broadcasting.
