Artcurial organised for the first time at the FIAC, a big sale dedicated to urban art. Entitled The Beautiful Winners, bringing together 75 batches this sale totalled € 1,656,960 / $ 1 822 656, exceeding its overall estimate, with 81% of lots sold.

It took place before a packed house in which it was recognised both contemporary art collectors, and those who follow more specialised for many years sales of Artcurial Urban Art.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oliveux Arnaud, director of Artcurial Urban Art department, said: "The success of this sale confirms the choice of Artcurial consider urban art as a whole share of current contemporary art. Collectors came to discover Paris FIAC are not mistaken. They were likely to visit the exhibition. The high selectivity of the presented catalog and quality of works has attracted them"

The must Banksy, whose works proposed two Artcurial sale, is still awaited. The work Love in the air (lot 22), the cover of the catalog, is carried away by a European collector for € 104,700 / $ 115 170.
The contemporary urban scenes, led by Conor Harrington international artists (lot 32), KAWS (lot 21) show strong results. The American Retna (lot 59) reached € 47,700 / € 52,470, almost double the estimate, and French Rero (lot 60) € 20,800 / $ 22,880 for an estimated 8,000 - € 12,000 .--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
