Hamas thanks Sanchez for Spain's “clear and bold stance” on the war with Israel
After his two-state proposal
USPA NEWS -
The terrorist organization Hamas thanked the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, this Saturday for his “clear and bold stance” on the conflict between Palestine and Israel. On Friday, Sanchez, from the Rafah border crossing in Egypt, defended the establishment of two states as a solution to the recurring wars in the area. From Brussels, however, the EU was clear: no other country in the European Union will recognize the Palestinian state, at least in the short term.
The Spanish Prime Minister's proposal offended the Government of Israel, which opened a diplomatic conflict with Spain and accused Spain of “supporting terrorism” by Hamas. An accusation forcefully denied by the Spanish Government, whose Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jose Manuel Albares, rejected it as “false and inadmissible.” The truth is that a part of the Spanish Government, the extreme left ministers, considers Israel a “genocidal state” and proclaims this in the demonstrations that have been held in several cities in Spain since the Palestinian-Israeli war began. In this sense, the former Spanish minister Ione Belarra, of the far-left Podemos coalition, urged the Spanish Government this Saturday “to cut ties with Israel, impose sanctions and enforce an arms embargo to stop the genocide in Gaza.”
In the midst of this diplomatic conflict, this Saturday, the Palestinian National Authority thanked Pedro Sanchez for his “clear and bold stance” in relation to the war. This is not the first time that the creation of a Palestinian state has been proposed, although it is now that the idea is the focus of debates about the end of the conflict. But, in this matter, Spain is alone. The European Union warned this Saturday that no other EU country will recognize the Palestinian state, if it is proclaimed.
Coinciding with the celebration of the Day against Violence against Women, this November 25, the Government of Israel launched a campaign on social networks, in which it denounced: “Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Agrainst Women. Our women and girls were raped; our women an girls were murdered; our women and girls werw kidnapped and are being held hostage in Gaza. And UN Women and others are still silent. What’s their excuse?”.
