Governor Sarwar & Lord Ranger’s Campaign Achieved

USPA NEWS - The former British Parliamentarian and current Governor of Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar and the UK’s leading businessman philanthropist and now British Parliamentarian Lord Rami Ranger have carved their names in Sikh history, said Shazada Hayat President UICF (UK) and international community welfare campaigner. 

These both outstanding international community personalities and champions of humanity welfare have campaigned for over three decades for the opening of Kartarpur Corridor to the Sikhs around the world, so that they may perform their pilgrimage and visit their beloved Guru Nanak Dev Sahib. 
Their dedicated campaign and to achieve the dream of the Sikh community became a reality. On 28 November 2018 Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan laid down the foundation stone for the Kartarpur Corridor. This unique project was completed in record time on 12 November 2019 for the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Sahib. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said, “Pakistan believes that the road to prosperity of the region and bright future of our coming generation lies in peace.” He further stated that, “Pakistan is not only opening the boarders but also their hearts to the Sikh community.” The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi compared the decision of opening the Kartarpur Corridor with the fall of the Berlin Wall.  

The Sikh community throughout the world have expressed their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.  It is every Sikh’s dying wish and dream to visit as pilgrims Kartarpur to be with their beloved Guru Nanak Dev Sahib. His dream and wish for the Sikhs has been made a reality by Pakistan. This is seen as the greatest gift to the Sikh community from the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and General Qamar Javed Bajwa. A huge debt which the Sikh community will always honour, said Shazada Hayat.  
Pakistan has shown the world as a result of the Kartarpur Corridor for the Sikh community that Pakistan values and cherishes humanity first and foremost and above all else this is the greatest act of multi faith harmony and respect shown by Pakistan.

There is absolutely no doubt without the great initiative and implementation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa the historic and monumental milestone the Kartarpur Project has come into prominence.  
It would be unjust not to pay tribute and honour the outstanding achievement and service of the dedication and determination of those who have also been instrumental and campaigning for over three decades for the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.  

I have had the great honour and pleasure of working with and supporting the former British Member of Parliament and now the Governor of Punjab Mohammad Sarwar and UK’s business tycoon philanthropist and now British Parliamentarian Lord Rami Ranger who has worked for decades to promote the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor to the international Sikh pilgrims The Sikh community especially in Washington DC USA have also played a significant role in achieving the opening of Kartarpur to the Sikh pilgrims. The former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh also played his part in the Kartarpur Corridor journey and as a result was invited by Prime Minister Imran Khan as a special guest at the inauguration just as Navjot Singh Sidhu was also especially invited by Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan. Navjot Singh Sidhu has also been campaigning for decades for the Sikhs and Kartarpur. 

Saleem Sheikh and Lord Rami Ranger formed an NGO over 35 years ago known as the India -Pakistan Friendship Forum, with a view to promoting harmony between the British Indian and British Pakistani community in the UK. Saleem Sheikh was the President of the India-Pakistan Friendship Forum and Lord Rami Ranger was its Chairman.  
I had the great honour and privilege of also supporting these two wonderful community leaders in promoting and supporting community cohesion.  
In recent times both Rami Ranger and Saleem Sheikh worked with the former Ambassador Hameed Kidwai in encouraging the Sikh community throughout the world and the Pakistan business fraternity to invest in Kartarpur so that Kartarpur emerges as successful and easily accessible and conformable for the visiting Sikhs from around the world.

As a result, a memorandum of understanding and joint venures have been agreed and signed for the continued promotion and success of the Kartarpur Corridor.   I am proud to have been working and supporting for over thirty years, the former British Parliamentarian and now the Governor of Punjab Pakistan Mohammad Sarwar, businessman tycoon philanthropist and now British Parliamentarian Lord Rami Ranger and Saleem Sheikh the President of India-Pakistan Friendship Forum. For me it is a great honour and privilege to have been commended and acknowledged by these great pioneers and champions of humanity and welfare, which I will cherish with pride and honour.   This week the former British Parliamentarian who is now the Governor of Punjab Mohammad Sarwar and the British Parliamentarian Lord Rami Ranger will meet face to face in UK Parliament to embrace each other with utmost love and respect and to say, “We managed to achieve it for Pakistan and for the Sikh community around the world.” Guru Nanak Dev Sahib undoubtedly must be so proud of the great lions of the Sikh community Manmohan Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Lord rami Ranger of UK. said, Shazada Hayat.
