USPA NEWS - Besides the fear and the high number of COVID-19 cases, the lockdown situation caused by the coronavirus has caused deep economic issues in every country.
“Euronews Albania“ takes a look at the measures taken by Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia to overcome this hard situation.

The Albanian PM, Edi Rama, declared that the economic support package drafted by the government is comparable to that of other countries and goes up to 2.2% of the GDP, or a total of €300 mln.

Rama underlined that his government´s decision was based on practices followed by other countries.

“We have seen the examples of a large number countries in the region, Europe and also the USA“, Rama said.

The governments of Kosovo and North Macedonia have also drafted their plans for helping with the crisis that hit their economy.

Kosovo is planning to allocate €200 mln to assist businesses and people in need. North Macedonia will also use €600 mln from the state budget for these hard days.

The three countries have been affected by the deadly virus and the first measures have been taken. Hundreds of millions of Euros will be used by these governments in an effort to lighten the burden crated by this virus, which has paralyzed the globe.
