A jury in Kansas decided to convict a former University of Kansas student with no prior criminal record for rape days ago.The case is starting to get national attention because of the juries controversial decision.

Albert N. Wilson became a subject of a incompetent jury and a unfair legal system many would contend.
Wilson was a former University of Kansas student who visited a bar with a friend of his and end up meeting a girl who was visiting a family member who attended Kansas University. Wilson and the girl were underage and was drinking when they left the bar to go back to Wilson´s apartment that was nearby. The decision Wilson made with this girl end up getting him a sentence of over 12 years in prison for rape, even though they didn't have sex.Media reports and sources confirm Wilson was given the sentence on Wednesday (April 3) in addition to lifetime probation and a mandatory registrationof being a sex offender. Wilson was 20 at the time when he met the girl,she was 17 at the time. The bar name is Jayhawk Cafe. It was alleged that Wilson pulled her dress up while they were dancing. Wilson contends that he don't remember all the events that transpired that night.A rape test was also utilized to determine if there was any semenial DNA found on the girl, none was recovered. They test only found saliva from kissing.Regardless the jury came back with a guilty verdict.
