2017 ANNUAL FALL CONFERENCE of MATHEMATICS TEACHERS in NYC

November 18th, 2017 became the day of 2017 Annual Fall Conference of Teachers organized and presented by the Association of Teachers of Mathematics of New York City in collaboration with the Hunter College Mathematics Center for Learning and Teaching at the Hunter College, CUNY.
Presentation sessions went from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm simultaneously at different Hunter College´s locations. Among presenters, there were Carole Mulligan, NYU (retired); Donna Balter Meisilin, Hunter College/CUNY; Vincent Altamuro and Dr. Sandra Clarkson, NYC Dept. OF Education/ Hunter College, CUNY; Ellen O. Edmonds and Jeanine Ferrara, Sadlier; Christine Scafidi, CK Education; Ruben Worrel and Vincent Young, Hostos Community College/SIFMA Foundation; Dana F. Morse, Educational Technology Consultant; Ken Collins, Charlotte Latin School; Mathew Martinez; Dr. Frank Gardella, Executive Director of the Hunter College Mathematics Center for Learning and Teaching; Gregory Heath and Denis Kogan NYCDOE District 75; Gerald Haber, St. John´s University; Tom Beatini, Union City Public Schools, Union City, NJ; Elizabeth Jaffe, Borough of Manhattan Community College; Arjan Khalsa, CEO Conceptua Math; Grace Quinlan, Past President of NCMTA; Miguelina Ortiz, Steele School; Julie Baggage and Rachel Gordon, Tompkins Square Middle School M.S. 839; Shawn Towle, Falmouth Middle School NCSM E1 Regional Director; Sharon Ciccone and Maria Michelsson, Truman HS (Retired); David Linker City College, CUNY.
Engaging conversations, active/hands-on learning examples characterized the presentations.
A number of Educational vendors presented their products in the vendors-exhibition area and complemented the outcome of the Conference.

The 2017 conference has been dedicated to the memory of Ben Lindeman -- a Hall of Fame New York State teacher.
