USPA NEWS - The Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris is under high protection, after a French Policeman was attacked using a hammer. The assailant was shot by the police. More than 900 people have been confined within the Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris and asked to sit down and stay calm inside. The incident happened at 4: 30pm, French Time.

THE ATTACKER WITH THE HAMMER AND ARMED WITH KNIVES WAS SHOT BY THE FRENCH POLICE--------- According to BFM The attacker was identified as an Algerian student in his 40s. In addition to the hammer, he was armed with two knives. The main square has been evacuated and the cathedral has been under lockdown, with 900 visitors inside, for more than an hour. The counter-terrorism section of the Public Prosecution service in Paris is in charge of the investigation.
