Hope for diabetics in Nigeria

USPA NEWS - A group of volunteers with the sunrise Foundation Dublin on the 29th of April to make the way to Nigerian to hold olden days on information about diabetes and to hold clinic for testing for the disease.
AC Matilda from the sunrise Foundation said There is nothing good like giving your time to help

others. The Sunrise Foundation Diabetes Project in Nigeria is going on well. It is hard work because of the crowd but God is giving us the strength to carry on with the work that is needn't to be done. The people of Nigeria are always happy when we come around to help. The diabetes awareness day yesterday was massive. We continue today with free screening on high blood pressure and Diabetes. Our first day in isolo was absolutely massive, it feels good to announce to everyone that God is doing great work,and we are still working,thanks to sunrise team for working so hard. Sunrise Foundation Nigeria made us proud. A massive thank you to everyone who came yesterday to support us.

In Ireland and around the world we don't know how lucky we are we can we can go to a doctor and a very simple test will tell us if we are diabetic and it's not that expensive but in countries like Africa and Nigeria it can be very expensive medication can be ten times as much as it is here and elsewhere in the world. Is it so hard for us to help to get the medication to people that need it, or for us to understand why it is so expensive in one country and not in another.
